FREE IT EQUIPMENT DONATED TO HACKNEY YOUTH GROUPS

March 2021, Hackney.

Dame Meg Hillier MP teamed up with a local tech business, Logixal, to donate free IT equipment to Hackney youth groups.

After a recent IT refresh, Logixal reached out to Meg for help in distributing over 100 pieces of high-quality PCs, monitors, mice, and keyboards. She put them in touch with nine Hackney youth groups and organisations that work with young people.

Youth groups and organisations benefitting include Gascoyne & Morningside Youth Club, the Pedro Youth Club, Evergreen Adventure Playground, Mouth That Roars, Rising Tide, and Tropical Isles.

Dame Meg Hillier MP, commented:

"The COVID-19 pandemic brought into sharp focus the digital divide in Hackney between the haves and have nots. Access to the internet and good quality IT equipment is vital to ensuring children and young people reach their full potential.

"Thanks to Dan, Mandeep, and the entire team at Logixal. Logixal is making a difference to dozens of young people.

"If you are or know a business that would like to do something similar, please get in touch.”

Daniel Hoile, Founder and CEO at Logixal, commented:

"When we set out to donate this equipment, we never could have imagined the difference it would make to the youth in our community or the clubs supporting them with the great work that they do.

"We are extremely proud and excited to setting it all up ready for them to use!"
