3 Ways To Make Your Commute Better

If like most of us you have to commute via public transport then no doubt you sometimes end up exhausted and harassed before you even get to work. The key to successful commute is to turn it into more than just a boring journey, it can become a valuable experience.

 

 

 

 

1.) Use the time

Depending on how far you live from work your commute could provide you with significant time to do the things you feel you don't have enough time to do. The miracles of modern technology mean that using a device you can catch up on reading, type up documents, learn a new language, watch a show you love or even take an online course. Be mindful of the journey time and make preparations to incorporate a healthy new habit into your commute.

 

2.) Meditate

If you are able to snag a seat, a great way to start your day is with a simple guided meditation. Plug in using an app on your phone or tablet and start your day off from a place of calm and zen. 

 

3.) Pair Up

Sometimes a commute is better when a social aspect is incorporated. Think back to your school days, how much more fun was it to meet up with your friends and walk to the school gates together. Why does that have to change now? If you have a friend or colleague who travels a similar route to you why not try pairing up at least once or twice a week. This can make the commute better and more enjoyable, you could even arrange breakfast for a happier start to the day.
